Rosso Di Montalcino Doc 2020

Region:
Grape Variety:
100% Sangiovese
Tasting Note:
Francisco Mulinari first decided to make wine in 2001 aged 17 on a small parcel of land near Montalcino. One of (if not the) smallest prods there; 0.5 ha for Rosso and 1 ha for Brunello. 2150 bottles were made annually. Medium ruby color. Very perfumed with concentrated red berries and cherries, sweet spice, smoke and a herbal, minty lift. Mature on palate, quite Brunello-like, with fresh acidity and chalky, astringent tannins. Maraschino cherries with balsamic. Creamy, silky mouthfeel and long finish. Top RdM.
Vinification:
Francesco Mulinari produces his wines in his family garden and only less than a hectare. He produced annually 3000 bottles of Biodynamic fine wines
