The Rosso di Montalcino by Baricci is another masterpiece of Federico Buffi; a charming winery, located in the northern part of the territory of Montalcino, on the slope overlooking Siena, 280 meters above sea level. 12 acres located on the hill of Montosoli which has always been considered the area of excellence and great wine vocation. That of Baricci is a story that began long ago, in 1955, when the family decided to buy the small farm of Colombaio Montosoli. Soil rich in minerals and fossils as marl, quartz and marl; microclimate dry and windy, with winds greater than the rest of the territory of Montalcino. Features that help lead to perfect ripening Sangiovese grapes used to produce this Rosso di Montalcino. The Vineyards consist of 5.5 Hectares and only Baricci has every parcels all situated in Montosodi(Grand Cru). Produces only 65,000 bottles with Organic Viticultures
