Comtesse Sancerre 2018

Region:
Grape Variety:
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Note:
"Comtesse" is actually a separate parcel of vineyard, hidden between the mountains "Damnes". GĂ©rard Boulay wanted to make wine separately these old vines 70 years. Enjoying the maximum exposure to the sun, the wines made from it are much more aromatic and robust compared to most of the area's wines. To temper the generosity of this cru, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks to refine the structure of this exuberant wine.
Vinification:
Gerard Boulay is one of the greats of this tiny village and produces some of the most distinctive and sublime wines in Sancerre. He produces 60,000 bottles of fine wine from 11 hectares with Organic Viticulture.
