Cul De Beaujeu Sancerre 2018

Region:
Grape Variety:
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Note:
An idiosyncratic, intriguing wine that is as far away from the standard Sancerre as possible. Sancerre Culs de Beaujeu 2018 is very concentrated, and the minimally invasive way in which it was made translates into a great delicacy of the fruit. However, it is far from a fruity wine; you will find floral notes, an iodine character and nuances of walnut (large, old barrels are preferred). In the long run, the sensation of freshness and an almost saline essence persists.
Vinification:
Francois Cotat is a master of natural wines in Sancerre, in the Loire Valley. Cotat cultivates 4 hectares of vineyards which he produces pure and extraordinary wines
